Every time and culture has its own challenges and in these moments of truth human ingenuity always emerges to guide us. Our resourcefulness and creativity enable us to craft novel solutions and shape new technology. Today, government innovation is more important than ever! During the World Government Summit 2018, we showcase the unusual and unexpected, before it becomes the new mainstream. By embracing experimentation and non-obvious solutions, governments can develop new ways to impact citizens’ lives and change our world for the better. And so can you!
The Edge of Government 2018 is a journey in three stages, from the dark into the light. You. Are. Light. Guiding visitors from awareness to active involvement.
First visitors are pulled in by a monumental entrance piece. They are welcomed by life size, mercury objects with magic mirror technology underlining the ability (and responsibility!) we all have to use innovation to make a difference. Then a mesmerizing work of light art by UK collective Squidsoup makes visitors a part of it, before literally leading them into the Light area. Here we inspire our visitors through seven of today’s brightest ideas and innovations from around the globe.
